5 Tips for Beginner Yogi

If you've been thinking about starting a yoga practice, but are still a little wary, we're here to help! We've got 10 tips that will make sure your first experience with yoga is not only enjoyable, but incredibly beneficial.

1. Don't worry about what other people are doing.

2. Be nice to yourself and others—no one is perfect and everyone deserves a little compassion!

3. Don't judge yourself or others based on appearance or clothing choices.

4. Make sure you're in a comfortable environment where you can focus on yourself without distractions (i.e., no loud music or background noise).

5. Remember that yoga isn't just an activity; it's also a philosophy that involves being aware of your thoughts, emotions, and actions at all times throughout the day so that you can better understand how they affect each other—and therefore how they affect YOU too! So when something comes up during class (like an itch), just smile because everything happens for a reason :)

6. If there are any poses that feel uncomfortable for whatever reason (maybe it's because of previous injuries or maybe it just doesn't feel right for whatever reason), don't try forcing yourself into them just
